As the principal of Juniata Elementary, I would like to welcome you to the Juniata Elementary School web page from myself and all the faculty and staff who work day in and day out with our Juniata Elementary children. Everyone involved in the education of Juniata Elementary students from the teachers, the support staff, and other members of our staff, and lastly our parents all have an important role to encourage our children to become active learners. It is my sincere desire to provide expanding opportunities for our students to acquire the skills to become productive citizens in the 21st century. We will strive to make Juniata Elementary School a place where students look forward to coming to each day and a place they do not want to leave at the end of 6th grade.
All children are born with a powerful desire to learn, children are like sponges - they soak up knowledge. Everything we do as parents and educators must ensure that this powerful desire is kept alive. An ancient African proverb states, "It takes a village to raise a child." and I believe the proverb applies to what we do at Juniata Elementary each day. To me this proverb means that every person involved with Juniata Elementary has a vested interest in helping to ensure that every child is well cared for, well educated, and well raised.
