About Me
Hello! My name is Miss Kies. I teach Kindergarten at Juniata Elementary School in the Altoona Area School District. I have truly enjoyed being a part of the Juniata community and building my teaching career here.
I graduated from Mount Aloysius College in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Level Education (PreK–4). Becoming a teacher has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I feel grateful to be living that dream in such a supportive and wonderful district. I am also continuing my education by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Literacy, with the goal of becoming a Reading Specialist.
In my classroom, I strive to create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment where all students feel encouraged to learn, grow, and do their very best. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, watching TV and movies, traveling to new places (especially the beach),cleaning and organizing, attending festivals and events, and most importantly, spending time with my loved ones. - Hello! My name is Miss. Kies and I teach Kindergarten at Juniata Elementary School, in the Altoona Area School District! I have wanted to become a teacher for most of my life and have fulfilled one of my greatest life goals achieving a job in this wonderful district shortly after graduating from college. I am currently in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree in Literacy with additional goals of becoming a Reading Specialist.
